Salmon, Brown Rice and Chye Sim
Healthy dinner tonight. One because I was sick and also the doc told me to restrict my salt intake. So, I steamed some brown rice, stir fried chye sim with garlic and chilli padi in olive oil and then pan fried the salmon in the same oil. Served as you see above with coriander to garnish the salmon and fried shallots to garnish the chye sim. Garnishing, in my view is very important as it brings out the colours of the food if chosen properly. And again, I always recommend white crockery for food… it just brings out the natural colours of the food.

Super simple but actually very tasty – I could live without salt with creative use of herbs and other vegetables as seasoning.  MMM would much prefer this post over the frog porridge one!
