A couple of weeks ago, we had a lovely lunch at a little cafe called Gourmet Plus on Frankel Avenue. It's a small little cafe set on a residential road just off East Coast Road. What was particularly nice that afternoon was it was raining so seated outside under a canopy having a leisurely lunch was just chilling!
Food, not bad. I wouldn't say fantastic but on a scale of 1 to 10, I'll put it around 6 or 7.
Salad with feta cheese – I must admit the quality of the feta was fab and toasted bread was nice and crispy on the outside and still soft on the inside. A very clever idea charcoal toasting the baguette…. really nice touch.
The sphegetti aglio olio was marvelous with generous quantities of slivered garlic though the chilli could have been a tad more aggressive IMHO and the mussel quality was fab; plump, fresh and juicy. All washed down with a glass of house wine of which both the white and red were very respectable (they have a choice of two varieties).
They don't seem to have a website so for your convenience:
