If you want to make simple, tasty meals which will impress, buy a blender. Blend, blend, blend anything…. well, not anything but with experimentation, you’ll get it. Use the blended puree as a marinade.

What you see above is blended mint, chilli padi and cumin seeds which when marinaded with chicken or fish (e.g. batang fillet) just tastes marvelous. I’ve done it with both and it really is very nice. Once again, due to the flavours of the ingredients, I can avoid salt. Take a look at my previous post which I used this marinade to grill a chicken.
